Understand this Principle. Understand the secrets of the Universe

In this post, I will outline one of the deepest principles of the Universe. Truly understanding this principle is the journey of a lifetime. But even a basic understanding has the potential to transform our life. It can open up ways of thinking and being that can help us be more successful, joyful and free.

Everything is vibration. When I say everything, I’m not exaggerating. I really do mean everything. All motion or change is vibration. All natural phenomena – the waves of the ocean, the movement of the planets, the growth and decay of plants and animals, the formation and dissipation of storms….. everything. All man made phenomena as well – radio, TV, computers, cars, planes, growth and decay of memes, companies… everything. This principle applies at all temporal (time) and spatial (space) scales.

If you wish to understand the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of vibration, frequency and energy

– Nikola Tesla

What are the chief properties of a vibration or a wave? Amplitude (energy) and frequency (wavelength). Amplitude indicates how “big” a wave is and frequency indicates how often the wave repeats. For example, if we take the waves of the ocean, big waves indicate high amplitude. The time interval between two ocean waves breaking on shore is related to the frequency. When analyzing any phenomenon or vibration, these concepts will come in handy.

Examples

How do these principles apply to every day phenomena? Let’s take a few examples to get a better understanding.

Sunrise and Sunset: The earth rotates around its axis producing sunrise and sunset. The frequency of this wave is 1 every 24 hours. Of course, the earth itself is composed of atoms and molecules, all of which are vibrating themselves. Notice how the principle of vibration simultaneously occurs at different spatial and temporal scales.

Work and Rest: This cycle is pertinent to all living beings. We work for sometime and then have to rest. Our capacity for work and need for rest may be different. But the cycle of work and rest is present for every living being.

Inhale and Exhale: This cycle is also pertinent to all living beings. For humans and animals, this cycle operates continuously throughout the day. As a result, we can see that is a high frequency cycle.

Rise and Decay of Companies: Companies rise to prominence and eventually decay. Just like all phenomena, the vibration of a company comes into being for sometime and eventually ends.

Applications

The applications of this principle are truly endless. But here are a few to get you started.

For increasing the odds of success: Let’s say you want to work out every day. How can you increase the energy behind the activity so that it doesn’t die out? A classic one is to recruit a workout partner. This works because you now have another person’s energy feeding the wave. Another way would be to blend this activity before or after other parts of your daily routine. For example, you could workout right after you wake up in the morning. You can leverage an existing activity that you already do to provide momentum (energy) for the new activity. There are many more possibilities here including using music, mantra chanting etc. A high level principle like this one has so much power because it is so widely applicable.

For being more joyful: When you understand that everything is a cycle, you can appreciate both the highs and lows. You can see the inherent beauty in them. Read the article on the principle of balance for more on this.

For being more free: When you start appreciating the highs and lows, there comes a point when you can simultaneously appreciate them and yet be unaffected by them. When you become unaffected by them, you become free.

Conclusion

I have hardly scratched the surface of this principle. It is very deep, a true foundational principle of the universe. I hope to revisit this topic in future articles. Truly understanding this principle will make you seem like a miracle worker.
